Fifty Ways (Donato Hanover) capitalized on a second over trip and won the Select Handicap Trot at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday night (Mar. 7).
Skyway Bebop and Quiksilvr Bluechip left alertly from the start of the harness racing contest despite windy weather conditions.
Skyway Bebop won the early battle and forced a pocket tuck to Quiksilvr Bluechip, passing the opening quarter in a hard fought 27.3.
Skyway Bebop held a comfortable lead to the half in 56. (28.2)
Gaelihill moved moved 1st over down the backstretch and joined Skyway Bebop at the three quarters in 1:25.1 (29.1)
Fifty Ways shadowed 2nd over on the rim. Swan In Motion, the 6/5 betting favorite, followed third over but that bid stalled.
Fifty Ways circled 4 wide at the top of the stretch, as Skyway Bebop began to weaken. Quiksilvr Bluechip vacated the pocket and surged along the pylons.
Fifty Ways stormed home to win by a neck in 1:55.1. He paid $10.
