WASHINGTON, PA, June 12, 2024 — Fighting Evil (Sweet Lou-Evil Fight) endured a contested opening quarter and two late challenges to pull off the 8-1 upset in Wednesday’s harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $15,900 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.
Heading to the front from post 8, Fighting Evil was parked in a lively 27 when Always Gonna B You would not release her. She made the point for Jeremy Indof but was confronted late by the first-over Be My Rose N and Kat in that one’s tow. The 6-year-old dug deep and triumphed in 1:51.3, 1/2 length better than Kat, with Be My Rose N third.
