ANDERSON, Ind.—September 6, 2023—Two-year-old trotting fillies were back in the spotlight at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino on Wednesday, September 6 as they squared off in round five of Indiana Sires Stakes harness racing action. Two $66,000 divisions were sent postward on the evening’s 14-race card.
Skyway Paige (Swan For All—Prismatica) and driver LeWayne Miller continued their winning ways in the opening division after they went gate to wire to score in 1:56. Using a :27.2 closing kick, Skyway Paige trotted home strongly to hold off Truly Unbelievable and Kyle Husted and the heavily favored Ponda Title and Kyle Wilfong. Sent off as the betting public’s second choice, Skyway Paige returned $5.00 for the victory.

Trained by Susan Miller, the filly has now won three of eight lifetime starts and earned $106,545 in lifetime purse earnings. Skyway Paige is owned in partnership by Hoosier Stbd Fm, R. Raber, L&S Racing and A. Swartzentruber.
In the second division, Somebody Special (Swan For All—Lima Simplicity) and Trace Tetrick utilized similar tactics to get the job done in 1:55.3.
Somebody Special left alertly and dug in gamely late in the lane to hold off Agent of Fortune and Robert Taylor on the outside and Starlit Dora and Michael Oosting on the inside. Somebody Special got the victory by a neck and established a new lifetime best in the process.
SOMEBODY SPECIAL REPLAY
Trained by Erv Miller, Somebody Special has now won four of five lifetime starts. The homebred is owned by Ervin Miller Stable and Geis Enterprise and has now earned $81,860.
