Mike Merton drove five straight winners including a win with Andover Contessa (Andover Hall) in the $12,000 featured trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (June 22).
In the feature Discus Hanover (Braxten Boyd) led to the quarter in :27.4. Robbie Pev (Jim Pantaleano) then went on by with a lap to go. He was first to the half in :56.3. Andover Contessa ($11.20) made her move first-over from fourth going down the backstretch. Robbie Pev was first to three-quarters in 1:26.0.
As they reached the stretch Andover Contessa took the lead and won in 1:54.4. Sevonshotobourbon (Tom Merton), and Stonebridge Bomber (Aaron Byron) landed in a dead heat for second.
Andover Contessa is a 7-year-old mare. She is trained by Jake Huff for owners Rosalia Huff and Beauty Bridle Racing Stable. It was her third win in 2024. She now has 26 career wins.

Merton got his other four wins with trainer Rob Harmon. They finished first with EEE Z Wow, Rose Run Yankee, Conrad Dipoggio It, and Chapere.
