CHESTER, Pa. — Favorites Shes Pukka N ($6.60) and Shoobee Doo A ($3.80) both rode the pocket to harness racing victory in their respective $16,200 pacing features on Sunday (June 20) at Harrah’s Philadelphia, while leading driver Tim Tetrick continued to pad his advantage atop the local standings with five wins.
In the week’s top distaff pace, Shes Pukka N and driver Tony Morgan stalked Eclipse Me through fractions of :25.4, :55.3 and 1:23 before angling off the pegs with 150 yards and lunging to a neck victory in 1:50.4 while driven out. April Ava saved third after saving ground throughout.
SHES PUKKA N REPLAY
;
Brian Malone trains Shes Pukka N, a 6-year-old daughter of Betterthancheddar with 18 wins and over $262,000 in career earnings to her credit, for Peter Venturini.
Shoobee Doo A took a similar path to the winner’s enclosure, yielding to Alluneedisfaith N for the pocket after setting a :27.1 first quarter. After sitting behind an extended duel between Alluneedisfaith N and Respect Our Flag through middle splits of :55.1 and 1:22, Corey Callahan took aim to the open stretch with the 6-year-old son of Shoobee’s Place, and he responded willingly for his 21st career win — a 1:49.3 score with plenty in reserve. Alluneedisfaith N preserved second, three-quarters of a length behind; Jack’s Shadow N lifted off cover for third.
