Southwind Amazon heads Northville Open

The third winningest harness racing Standardbred of all-time, in terms of races won, Southwind Amazon (Camluck), headlines the featured $10,800 Open Pace this Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Northville Downs.

The Paul Holzman trainee, Southwind Amazon, makes his return Saturday night to the Michigan oval to take on Oh K Man, who has won his last two Open starts in a row; Catch Me Conrad, who was an Open winner three starts ago; Commander Bob who was second to Oh K Man last out; Jet’s Sureshot who has been third in the Open the past two weeks; Bluebird Pacific who won at the Open 2 last out; and new shooter Go Dancing A who comes in off a qualifier at Hoosier Park on May 6^th.

Southwind Amazon is morning line 8-1 and will be driven by Art McIlmurray. Amazon has earned $1,438,517 in purse earnings in his career and has amassed 126 wins to date, just two behind Rambling Willie who is the second winningest standardbred of all-time.
