The lifetime winner of more than $256,000, who earned $118,000 last year alone, was consigned by Preferred Equine Online for Martin Budkey and was bought by Larry Stalbaum.
This, the company’s eighth online sale, posted gross receipts of $430,000 and an average of $26,875 for 16 of 20 cataloged horses sold. To view complete sale results, click here.
Also selling well was the sleek and speedy Always B Miki 4-year-old Texas Miki p,4,1:51-’22 ($62,862), a three-time winner this year who’s racing in the upper conditioned classes at Woodbine-Mohawk. He was sold by PEO as agent for Benoit and Sara Baillargeon and purchased for $72,000 by SLL, agent for Levit and Tritini Stable.
Other top sellers included the Muscle Hill 4-year-old Nylander 4,1:52.2 ($111,528), who brought $60,000 after a series of last-minute bids. Winning out as the horse’s new owner was John Barnard, who took home three of this sale’s offerings.
Horses who did not meet their reserves still have the opportunity to sell. Interested buyers may visit the sale page and click on “make offer.”
Proprietor David Reid said he continues to be thrilled not only with the sale results, but with the growing level of participation in each ongoing event.
“Customers know they can sell a good horse on our online platform and not only reach interested buyers from all over, but be well-rewarded from their sale,” Reid said. “These are serious, quality horses being offered on the platform and that’s all it takes to bring out buyers from every jurisdiction.
“The full service we offer to buyers and sellers, along with the platform’s state-of-the-art technology and the full transparency the public sees in each transaction, creates confidence in selling here. That in turn creates new commerce — and that’s what drives the industry.”
The company’s next online sale will be conducted June 20, with an entry deadline of June 15. For information or to enter horses, visit here.
