Race videos online for horse sale

For the first time, race videos of horses selling in the Preferred Equine Marketing consignment at the upcoming Tattersalls Summer Mixed Sale are available on the company’s website, preferredequine.com.

To watch the videos, click on the site’s “Sales” tab and then Summer Mixed > Sale Details > Roster.
Buyers have always had the opportunity to watch race videos at the sale itself, but this enhancement to Preferred’s website offers them even more decision-making tools prior to the sale, according to Preferred’s owner David Reid.

“The updated racelines and ‘live’ TrackIT pedigrees have made it much easier for potential buyers to stay on top of the horses they’re interested in,” Reid said. “We added the videos as a bonus to the racelines. They can now see how a horse looks on the track, how it moves, and what equipment it wears.

“Watching these races ahead of time will hopefully free up owners and trainers and give them more time at the sale for hands-on inspection.”

The Summer Mixed Sale, to be held in the Meadowlands race paddock on Sunday, July 18 at noon, wraps up a big weekend at the track, highlighted by the Meadowlands Pace Final the night before.
