ANDERSON, Ind.—August 18, 2021— Indiana Sires Stakes harness racing action returned to Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino on Wednesday, August 18 as the three-year-old trotting fillies squared off in the fifth round of their eight round series. The evening’s 14-race card was highlighted by two $48,000 Indiana Sires Stakes divisions for the sophomore fillies.
In the second division of the stakes action, Swift Swanda returned to Harrah’s Hoosier Park with an open length 1:53 score. After taking on open company in Grand Circuit action in her last two starts, Swift Swanda wasted no time and went gate to wire with driver Trace Tetrick. Dewtiful’s Grace and LeWayne Miller rallied well for second while Shirley Goodness and Peter Wrenn were third. As the heavy betting favorite, Swift Swanda returned $3.00 at the betting windows.

Owned in partnership by Anthony Lombardi and The Kales Company LLC, the daughter of Swan For All—Cheetah Hall notched her sixth win from eight trips behind the gate this season, and her fourth from four in the Indiana Sire Stakes. Trained by Erv Miller, Swift Swanda has now amassed $355,180 in lifetime purse earnings.
Country Girl Charm delivered as the heavy favorite in the opening division with driver, trainer LeWayne Miller in the bike. Stopping the timer in 1:54.3, Country Girl Charm was able to overcome a first-over trip to get the win by nearly three lengths. Treasure Gems K and Sam Widger rallied well up the inside to get up for second while Sister Jean and Trace Tetrick rounded out the trifecta. As the heavy betting favorite, Country Girl Charm returned $3.00 to win.
COUNTRY GIRL CHARM REPLAY
Owned in partnership by Ryan Raber, L&S Racing, D&S Stable, and Jw Stable, Country Girl Charm recorded her second win from six seasonal starts. The daughter of Whom Shall I Fear—Tymal Tatiana sent her lifetime purse earnings over the $200,000 mark with the victory.
Indiana Sires Stakes action will continue at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino on Thursday, August 19 with one $95,000 division for three-year-old trotting colts and geldings.
