The 1-9 favorite Dover In Motion (Dover Dan, John De Long) won his fourth straight in the $25,000 Open Handicap harness racing trot at Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway on Saturday (Dec. 30).
Rose Run Valor (Kayne Kauffman) took the early lead, followed by Predator And Prey (Brett Miller). Renegade Gypsy (Chris Page) was racing in third as they reached the first quarter mile in :29.
As they passed the half mile in :58.3, Rose Run Valor was still on top, with Predator And Prey in second and Dover In Motion moving into third.
From the outside, Dover In Motion rushed to steal the lead and quickly opened a gap of three lengths back to Rose Run Valor. Flagman (Rick Plano) moved to challenge Rose Run Valor for second as they came to the three-quarter mile in 1:25.4.
Dover In Motion crossed the wire in 1:53.1, six lengths in front of Flagman. Renegade Gypsy came in third.
