Four wins for Gregory including feature

Harness racing driver Jeff Gregory had a grand slam including the $7,500 co-features at Vernon Downs on Saturday (September 20).

Discus Hanover (Gregory) grabs the featured trot.

Lous Lancelot (John MacDonald) charges straight to the front and gets to the quarter in :26.2.  He slowed things down with a :30.0 second quarter and was first to the half in :56.2.  He led to three quarters in 1:26.1.

As they reached the stretch Discus Hanover ($4.86) popped out of the pocket and battled with second place finisher Lous Lancelot all the way down the stretch.  Discus Hanover surged late to win in 1:54.4.  Low Inside (Dan Daley) finished third.

Discus Hanover is an 8-year-old gelding by Credit Winner.  He is owned by Phillip Hale and trainer David Dewhurst. It was his third win this season.  He now has 53 career victories.

Forgot TheWallet A (Gregory)takes the featured fillies & mares’ pace.

The Hunt Is On (Leon Bailey) was first to the quarter in :28,4 and first to the half in :58.0.  Forgot TheWallet A ($11.20) made her move first-up going around the final turn and led to three quarters in 1:26.1.

Forgot TheWallet A just cruised down the stretch to win in 1:53.1.  Dizzy Lizzy (Ron Harp) was second.  Bell Of Lazarus (Harry Landy) finished third.

Forgot TheWallet A is an 8-year-old mare by Heston Blue Chip.  She is trained by Maria Rice for owners Dr. Michael Miller and Team Rice Racing.  It was her fifth win this season and her 22nd career victory.

Gregory got his other wins with My Girl Charlie and Ucanttouchthis.  Leon Bailey had a driving hat trick.
