The seven-year-old pacer Rose Run Uriah (Jereme’s Jet) rewrote the world record for a one turn 5/8ths mile harness racing dash of 1:06.4 at Bally’s Dover Thursday evening (March 16).
Leaving from post four in the 13th race $16,000 dash, driver Pat Berry fired right out of the gate to the lead with Rose Run Uriah with Kinnder Jackson (Tim Tetrick) sitting right on their backs to the first quarter in :25.4 and the half mile in :52.4.
As they came to the finish, Kinnder Jackson came after Rose Run Uriah, who held on for the win by a neck. Last Gunfighter (Mike Cole) was third.
The previous world record on a 5/8th mile oval was set by Nuclear Dragon in 1:07 on February 28, 2022 at Miami Valley Raceway.
It was the fourth win in nine starts this year for Rose Run Uriah. He is trained by Traci Berry for Bobby Glassmeyer and TLB Racing, LLC. The race favorite paid $2.80 to win.
ROSE RUN URIAH WORLD RECORD REPLAY
Penzance Hanover (Somebeachsomewhere) charged home to claim his fifth consecutive win at Bally’s Dover, capturing the $28,500 Blue Hen Special Open Pace.

Capt Jack Hanover circled three wide at the 5/8ths marker. Penzance Hanover was then able to inherit a second over trip on the rim.
At the top of the stretch, Penzance Hanover was in high gear and gunned down pacesetter Heinikin Bythebay, and a parked out Capt Jack Hanover.
Downers Delight mounted a fierce charge late in the stretch but ran out of race track. Penzance Hanover held on to win by a head in 1:51 and paid $7.40 as the betting favorite.
