JACK’S LEGEND N IMPRESSES IN OPEN PACE

Jack’s Legend N was impressive in winning the Open Handicap Pace at Dover Downs on Thursday night.

Assigned post 8, it did not deter his chances. Driver Dexter Dunn, aggressively, left from the extreme outside and had to face early challenges from Mack and Shoobee Doo A toward the quarter. Jack’s Legend N finally cleared for the lead nearing the half and set race fractions into swirling winds.

The quarter was reached in 26.4. The half was paced in 55.3 (28.4). Dorsoduro Hanover challenged first over from fifth and stalked Jack’s Legend N to the three quarters in 1:22.3, a 27 flat quarter. The two paced home together as a team into the lane.

Jack’s Legend N had something left as he won by three quarters of a length as the ½ betting favorite and paced the mile in 1:50.1. He paid $3 to win. Shoobee Doo A remained in the pocket and finished 2nd for trainer Dylan
Davis and driver Corey Callahan. Mack saved ground along the inside and finished 3rd for trainer Joe
Columbo. Mike Cole drove.

Trained by Josh Green, Jack’s Legend N (Bettor’s Delight) is owned by Rich Lombardo Racing LLC, Ohio, David Kryway, Ontario, Eric Good, Maryland and Josh Green, Delaware.
