Yanks Dugout cruised to victory in the $21,000 Winners Over/Select Trot at Dover Downs on Tuesday night.

Yanks Dugout competed against the best harness racing trotters at Yonkers Raceway in his last start. The victory was well worth the trip to Dover Downs. Yanks Dugout and driver Corey Callahan took no prisoners and took command
of the racetrack from the start. They set fractions of :27.1, :56.2 (29.1) and 1:25.1 (28.4).

Remarkable De Vie mounted a charge down the backstretch racing first over. Our White Knight followed second over on the outside, but both stalled in their bids.

Jack Vernon and driver Tim Tetrick followed from pocket position but could not gain on the leader, Yanks Dugout.

Yanks Dugout drew off in the stretch and won by 3 lengths. He trotted the mile in 1:54 and paid $3.40 as the betting choice.

YANKS DUGOUT REPLAY

Yanks Dugout (Triumphant Caviar-Yansky-Muscles Yankee) is owned by Ivan L. and John Duke Sugg of Ohio. Ron Burke, the newest inductee into the Harness Racing Hall Of Fame, trains.

Jack Vernon sat in the pocket and finished 2nd for trainer Dylan Davis. Whimzical Chapter was 3rd for trainer Josh Green and driver Victor Kirby.

Corey Callahan won 4 races on the betting card.

Soho Burning Love A, Scuola Hanover and Shes Pukka N headline the $25,000 Mares Open Pace on Wednesday night. There is also a $2,509 Pentafecta carry over on the 12th race on Wednesday.

Post Time at Dover Downs is 4:30 pm.
