Dave Palone has hot hands at The Meadows

WASHINGTON, PA, Jan. 27, 2022 — Off Since April and parked the opening quarter, Lady’s Dude flashed both talent and determination in capturing Thursday’s $17,600 Open Handicap Trot at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Lady’s Dude picked up welcome cover from his stablemate, Perlucky, and blew by him in the Lightning Lane for Dave Palone.

The 11-year-old Victory Sam-Lady’s Star gelding scored in 1:56, a length better than Icanflylikeanangel, while Perlucky saved show.

Ron Burke trains Lady’s Dude, who now boasts 54 wins and $885,908 in earnings in his career, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Johnny Yoder. It was one of four wins for Palone on the 10-race card, who now needs just 156 more wins to reach the plateau of 20,000 wins.
