Racing applications due this weekend for Shenandoah Downs

WOODSTOCK, VA – 8/4/2023 – Racing applications for the upcoming fall harness racing season at Virginia’s Shenandoah Downs are due to the racing office this weekend. A seven-week meet will run from September 16 – October 29 with racing every Saturday and Sunday at 1 PM.

The track is conveniently located off I-81 at Exit 283 in the scenic Shenandoah Valley, halfway between Winchester and Harrisonburg in the northwest part of the state.

Prior to the Shenandoah Downs pari-mutuel meet, a 4-day non-wagering meet will take place at the same site from August 30-September 2 during the Shenandoah County Fair. Post time each day is 12 Noon and acclaimed announcer Roger Huston will call the action the first three days.
