HARRINGTON, DE – Gty Stable’s unbeaten Gaitway Guy (Delmarvalous) and driver Corey Callahan was a 1:56 winner in the $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) final for 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings Monday (Oct. 10) at Harrington Raceway.
The Jeff Smith trainee made his usual first-over charge near the three quarters en route to a five-length romp over Night Terror and Bad Boy Too. The gelding improved to 4-for-4 lifetime to remain unbeaten and as the 1/9 favorite returned just $2.10 to win.
GAITWAY GUY REPLAY
Jo Ann Looney-King’s Sweetest Swing ($9, Art Stafford Jr.) won the $20,000 DSBF consolation for 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings in 1:56.1.
In the overnight feature, a $50,000 Open named to honor the memory of long time Delaware legislator Bobby Quillen who passed away in 2004, was won by George and Tina Dennis’ Mack (Mach Three) and driver Mike Cole), who emerged a 1:52 winner from the pocket over Major Betts and Movin On Up.
It was the 5th win of the season for the five-year-old, who is trained by Joe Columbo. The winner paid $2.60.. It was one of 4 wins on the card for Cole, three of which were trained by Columbo, the meet’s leading conditioner.

Allan Davis also had 4 wins on the card. Montrell Teague and Jason Thompson each had a pair of wins.
