Bangor, Maine – Harness racing driver Gary Mosher held the hot hand at Bangor Raceway on Sunday (June 5) as the veteran teamster parlayed five driving opportunities into five top-two placings over the course of a thrilling matinee performance at historic Bass Park.
Mosher’s talents were particularly beneficial for the Christine Holt Stable who sent three sharp combatants to battle on Sunday. Holt’s Uptown Lover (1:59.1) claimed her third seasonal win in the afternoon’s finale after stablemates Eleanor Jean (1:59.2) and Buerger (1:58.2) both caught the bridesmaid bouquets in earlier action on the card.
Mosher’s most demonstrative win came in the weekly $6,500 feature though as Go Sandy Go mounted her very own local battle of the sexes to swoop a determined group of geldings, stopping the clock in a seasonal best 1:55.2, the fleetest clocking of the afternoon at Bangor.
Bangor Raceway proudly features live harness racing every Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. (EDT) with the popular Sunday matinees getting underway at 12:15 p.m. Simulcast wagering is available Wednesday through Sunday from noon until 7:00 p.m.
