WASHINGTON, PA, Nov. 9, 2020 — Full Surge surged to the top from post 6 and never let a rival get close, scoring in a career-best 1:52.4 in Monday's harness racing feature at The Meadows, a $10,400 Conditioned Trot.
Sent off as the 1-1 favorite, Full Surge threw down a 56.1 back half for Tony Hall, enabling him to defeat the pocket-sitting Joey by 1-1/4 lengths. Vegas Ticket was a ground-saving third.
Miles Wollam trains Full Surge, a 6-year-old son of Full Count-Super Katrina who vaulted over $300,000 in career earnings, and owns with Rhett Roll and Renna Wollam.
Aaron Merriman, Jim Pantaleano and Hall each enjoyed a double on the 13-race card while, for the second time in as many weeks, 13 different trainers won a race.
Live racing at The Meadows continues Tuesday, first post 12:45 PM.
