Lexington, KY — On Monday (Aug. 21) Red Mile hosted one $80,000 third round Kentucky Sire Stakes leg, one $30,000 third round leg of the Kentucky Commonwealth Series and two $15,000 third round legs of the Kentucky Goldenrod Series for freshman pacing fillies. Heavy favorite Geocentric (Sweet Lou-Geometry) did not disappoint and remains a perfect five-for-five in her young harness racing career after hitting the finish line in 1:51 in her respective Kentucky Sire Stakes contest.
Geocentric began her mile from post position three in the field of six. The filly, in rein to Tim Tetrick, settled in third as Seeuontheotherside (Tony Hall) led the field through a first quarter-mile in :28.3. Geocentric and her driver decided to brush to the lead at the half-mile marker.
After establishing fractions of :56.4 and 1:25.1, the outcome of the race was never in doubt as Geocentric glided home with a :25.4 final panel. Seeuontheotherside held for second and Capytreach (Scott Zeron) was third.
Trained by Brian Brown, Geocentric is the swiftest freshman pacer of the season. The filly was bred by Diamond Creek Farm and was purchased for $55,000 at last year’s Standardbred Horse Sale by Milton Leeman, Alan Keith, James Stambaugh and Joe Sbrocco.
GEOCENTRIC REPLAY
Geocentric paid $2.10 to her supporters.

Driver Joey Putnam and Fearless Bettor (Betting Line-No Fear Dear) got the best of favorite Flawless (Yannick Gingras) to win by a neck in 1:51.2 in the sole $30,000 third round of the Kentucky Commonwealth Series for freshman filly pacers. American Hope (Todd McCarthy) was third.
Trained by Steve Elliott, she improved her record to 7-3-3-0 and boosted her bankroll to $76,000.
The filly was bred by Anvil And Lace Farm and was purchased by her trainer and William Salmeri for $35,000 at last year’s Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.
