Qualifying races and the Saturday night harness racing card at The Meadowlands were canceled due to adverse weather conditions. It is important to retain the entries from Saturday night. Horses that were in to go Saturday should not be considered to be racing after a layoff if they race within the next two weeks. They were ready to race on Saturday, so assume they will be ready to race in their next start.
The objective of this analysis is to identify horses with plus or minus evaluations that are not identifiable in the racing program. Horses whose performances are accurately captured in the past performances are not captured here, regardless of how well or poorly they may have raced.
These scores do not indicate must bet or must toss the next time they race because other handicapping factors will come in to play. But it does give the bettor a huge edge in what is frequently the most important factor when making betting decisions. We recommend saving this data as other factors may cause a horse to have one or more issues (e.g., interference, layoffs, breaks, off track, driver change) and you will want to go back to the last line that appeared clean on the program.
However, many flagged horses have been coming in with generous payouts. Please note that horses that ship in are not tracked in the Meadowlands/Freehold analysis and win many races, but horses that ship between M1 and Freehold have produced some of the bigger payouts. In addition, do not expect to see many favorites on the winners list. They frequently show their abilities in the past performances, and are less likely to be given a score.
You may want to track flagged horses shipping to other tracks. In addition, horses do not race every week, so you need to keep track of older editions.
This weekend’s winners that were identified in previous analyses
*** Seven ship-ins won at M1 on 1-5, two of those seven winners shipped in from Freehold. Five horses that shipped into Freehold won this weekend. ***
