CHESTER, PA – Harness racing driver Yannick Gingras guided two of the winners of the four $12,600 featured events on the Wednesday card at Harrah’s Philadelphia, in all taking five races on the program.
Rolling With Sam, with no wins but eight seconds on his 2021 scorecard coming into tod
ay, finally got a victory, one in which he took a new mark of 1:51.4. Gingras made every pole a winning one with the four-year-old Roll With Joe gelding.
He won for the first time since last July 21 for the meet’s leading trainer, Ron Burke, and the partnership of Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Phil Collura.

In the other division of the pacing features for males, the Sweet Lou sophomore gelding Lou Ed Zeppelin also was sent away quickly by Gingras and controlled his own destiny, holding off late challengers to both sides by a half-length while reducing his mark to 1:54. Ron Burke also sent out the winner for the ownership of Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, J&T Silva- Purnel & Libby, and Lawrence Karr.
The three-year-old Captaintreacherous filly Tempura Hanover got out to an early lead under the handling of the meet’s leading driver, Tim Tetrick, rated the half, then won fairly easily in 1:53.3 in the contest for pacing distaffs. Scott Di Domenico trains the winner of two straight for Bottom Line Racing LLC and Triple D Racing Inc.
In the trotting headliner, the Muscle Hill sophomore colt Beyond The Hill, who was victorious in a NJSS in his debut last July 10 but hadn’t won since, benefited from a clever Andrew McCarthy drive to lower his mark three seconds to 1:56.1. Favorites Snowfalla and Padre were battling turning for home, and McCarthy ducked his charge to the inside of those two, then picked them up late for trainer Marcus Melander and owners Jeffrey and Michael Snyder and Onda Racing Stable LLC.
A solid field of veteran trotters has been lined up for the $16,300 feature on the traditional “Trottin’ Thursday” 12:25 card at Harrah’s Philly. Program pages will be available at www.phha.org/harrahspps.html.
