WASHINGTON, PA, July 26, 2023 — Pushed wide by a breaking horse through the final turn, Goo For Broke (Googoo Gaagaa) retained his composure, steadily made up the lost ground and pulled off a 13-1 harness racing upset in Wednesday’s (Jul. 26) co-feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $10,900 Filly & Mare Conditioned Trot.
Goo For Broke was following the first-over Hot Stuff Niki when that rival suddenly jumped it off. She remained calm for Drew Monti and set her sights on the leader, Bella Ciao. Goo For Broke prevailed in a career-best 1:57, 1/2 length better than the rallying TSM Emilia T, while Bella Ciao saved show.
