Grace Rocks blitzes back half in feature

WASHINGTON, PA, Jan. 4, 2023 — Grace Rocks (Rockin Image – Cosmic Grace) blitzed the back half in 55.1 and scored a convincing harness racing victory in Wednesday’s (Jan. 4) 2023 Opening Day feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $19,300 Filly & Mare Open Handicap Pace.

Taking advantage of a field reduced by scratches to four, Grace Rocks zipped to the lead from post 3 for Ridge Warren, enjoying a sensible 56.1 first half.

The 6-year-old mare was untouchable from there, triumphing in 1:51.2. Irish Daydream rallied for second, 4 lengths back, with the first-over Chase Lounge third.

Jamal Williams trains Grace Rocks, who now boasts a career bankroll of $391,015, for Howard Taylor. She paid $4.20 to win.
