Monticello, NY – Harness racing driver Greg Merton won three races in succession at Monticello Raceway on Monday November 9, the triple started in the 5th race aboard Partagas Blue Chip (PP5), the 5 year old son of Shadow Play picked up his second win of the season as he went wire to wire to score in 1:59 – $6.80 for trainer Thomas Merton.
Spilling The Beans was next up, the Camluck gelding took a ton of air on the outside but prevailed in 1:57.1 – $9.70 to notched his 4th seasonal win.
In race 7 it was the Thomas Milici trainee Checkout Terror who went down the road to win by a scant neck over Kiss My Sass in a photo in 1:58.2 – $2.50.
Greg currently is in 5th place for leading dash winning drivers with 60 wins, trailing his brother Michael who has 63 wins.
