Harness racing Hall of Fame Communicator, John Berry, is joining the Harnesslink Team.

Described by legendary sports columnist and Hall of Famer Murray Janoff as “a magician with words,” Berry has written for many of the sport’s leading publications and has won multiple awards for journalistic excellence, including the top national John Hervey Award.
Berry also has vast experience in television, radio, auctioneering, announcing, marketing, public relations and publicity and his charitable and goodwill exploits were highlighted in a CBS news segment entitled “Someone You Should Know.”
Most recently, he spent the past 18 years at Pompano Park in a variety of roles including publicity, television co-host, morning mine maker, track handicapper, assistant announcer and claims manager.
Berry was elected to the Communicator’s Hall of Fame in Goshen, New York in 2008. He was also elected to the Hall of Fame for the Florida Chapter of the United States Harness Writers Association.
He will be writing his “Mane Attraction” columns for Harnesslink covering a wide range of subjects ranging from the historical to the future stars sprouting up in standardbred racing.
