Hightstown, NJ — MGM Yonkers Trot winner Up Your Deo jumped up into the harness racing Top 10 in the Week 4 edition of the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll released Tuesday. The 3-year-old colt landed at No. 9 and is among three Ake Svanstedt-trained horses in the upper echelon of the rankings, with Six Pack Mares Trot winner Jiggy Jog S second and idle Special Way fourth.
It’s My Show, who also was idle, remained No. 1 and idle Sylvia Hanover dropped to third in a swap of positions with Jiggy Jog S. Ruthless Hanover, who won the Dave Brower Memorial with a track-record-equaling performance at The Meadowlands, moved up to fifth from ninth a week ago.
Rounding out the Top 10 were Grace Hill, Confederate, Lochinvar Art A and Covered Bridge.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
