Harness Analyst – Meadowlands 15th July

What a tremendous card of harness racing at The Meadowlands tonight, featuring that track’s signature race, The Meadowlands Pace for sophomore pacing colts and geldings. There is also an undercard loaded with stakes featuring the best Standardbreds in North America.

Here is my full-card analysis and multi-race ticket ideas:

Best Bet – JIGGY JOG S (6TH)

Spot Play – MAX CONTRACT (9TH)

50-Cent Pick 4 – Race 10 – 2/245/23/124569 = $18 for 50-Cents

Race 1 – 8-7-1-6

(8) MONGOLIAN HERO N got an impossible trip last week. I think he rebounds here, and he gets the nod to kick off this great card.

Race 2 – 3-9-8-7

(3) I’M BURLINGTON N paced a huge mile to win with the trainer in the bike now he gets catch driver McCarthy. He’ll be a single for me in the early Pick 5.

Race 3 – 6-5-1-7

(6) SECRET VOLO comes off huge two move win in the New York New York final. She gets the call to repeat starting from a good post tonight.

Race 4 – 4-2-5-7

(4) BOND has been outstanding, and she may be on a collision course with her excellent stablemate Special Way. She should win again here.

Race 5 – 4-9-1-5

(4) GOO GOO WON is sharp, and she made two moves in defeat last week. She can win here if she gets a slightly easier trip.

Race 6 – 3-1-7-5

(3) JIGGY JOG S is the best trotter on the continent and it’s not close. I’ll try for some value underneath with (1) COOL PAPA BELL rounding out the Exacta.

Race 7 – 2-1-5-8

(2) ENERGETIC HANOVER should find this company much easier than Graduate foes and he is the one to beat.

Race 8 – 5-3-2-4

(5) SYLVIA HANOVER is a lot faster this year which is scary. She’s the queen of this division until someone dethrones her.

Race 9 – 5-2-1-9

(5) MAX CONTRACT has a history of scoring big upsets at this track. She raced out of her skin to win the Mistletoe Shalee at 17 to 1 here on this card last year and she will offer a great price here, too.

Race 10 – 2-5-7-3

(2) AIR POWER gets a huge driver change to Dunn and he should strut his stuff tonight.

Race 11 – 5-4-2-3

(5) CONFEDERATE is the best horse he just needs a reasonable trip to take home the Meadowlands Pace trophy.

Race 12 – 3-2-7-4

(3) ABUCKABETT HANOVER went a huge trip for 2nd in the Brower Memorial. I think he gets a good trip and turns the tables tonight.

Race 13 – 5-6-1-2

(5) ONCE IN A LIFETIME gets class tested tonight but I think he is up to it. He should offer a good price in this competitive field

Race 14 – 9-3-8-7

(9) JUST A WRANGLER looks solid here racing off the claim. He should get the job done vs. these.
