Harness Analyst – Northfield 29th November

We have a competitive mid-week Wednesday night (Nov. 29) harness racing card at MGM Northfield Park: “Home of the flying turns” tonight.

Here is my full analysis of the 15-race card and some multi-race tickets to consider. Good Luck with your plays.

Best Bet – DUDLEY – Race 3

Spot Play – ALWAYS ANDREW – Race 9

$1 Pick 4 – Race 2 – 4/12/7/25 = $4

$1 Pick 5 – Race 6 – 349/267/6789/6/1 = $36

$1 Pick 4 – Race 11 – 125/45/23/1234 = $24

Race 1 – 4-5-1-9

(4) COUP DEVILLE continues to race well and she should get the early jump on main rival (5) SEVEN OVER in this spot. The former should be tough to catch.

Race 2 – 1-2-3-6

This race kicks off the $1 Pick 4. (1) WATCH MY CHIPS is clearly the fastest horse but he has missed close to four weeks so I will use both him and (2) OREN, who may get a great pocket ride following the choice.

Race 3 – 7-6-1-9

(7) DUDLEY shoots for a fourpeat here and he is clearly the one to beat.

Race 4 – 3-9-1-8

This looks like a good spot for (3) EVER M who gets post relief and Merriman in the bike. I’ll call him to notch the upset over (1) HES A KNOCKOUT, who is the obvious one to catch.

Race 5 – 2-5-3-9

(2) SHAKE YOUR PAMPER gets A Mac in the bike and an inside post and that means he will be heading to the front and taking no prisoners; top call.

Race 6 – 9-3-4-7

This is a good betting race to kick off the $1 Pick 5. I’ll give a slight nod to class jumping (9) ROGERTHAT BLUE CHIP, who could double up if he gets a similar drive as he did on 11/21 when he crushed easier.

Race 7 – 6-2-7-3

This looks like a good spot for (6) COMMANDO TOM to control the pace from the outset if he can stay flat; price play.

Race 8 – 7-8-9-6

(7) LOVING TOUCH broke her maiden in her first start over this track and I’ll give her the call to repeat despite facing elders.

Race 9 – 6-8-1-4

This is a good spot for (6) ALWAYS ANDREW, and I expect driver Lems to try to send him right down the road.

Race 10 – 1-4-3-2

(1) OUR THERAPIST comes off two strong efforts at this level and he is the one to beat starting from the rail.

Race 11 – 2-1-5-4

(2) DOVER DANCE figures to get the lead early starting from the inside here and she is the one to catch and beat.

Race 12 – 5-4-6-9

(5) LAZ TO FIRST looks to repeat and this is not a tough field. I’ll use him and likely pocket sitter (4) BOY’SBORNTOBOOGIE in the Pick 4.

Race 13 – 3-2-1-9

(3) LINDYS LANDING has looked good since being bought by The Stable and he gets the nod to notch the threepeat tonight.

Race 14 – 1-2-3-4

(1) PARK SLOPE was a dead-heated winner in his first start for his new connections and he gets the call to repeat starting from the rail tonight.

Race 15 – 1-5-4-2

(1) LB’S LEGACY dropped to this class two starts back and she drew two straight 9 holes. She has a chance to show what she can do starting from the rail tonight and she gets top billing.
