Harness Analyst – Northfield Park 14th June

A Pick-5 carryover of $7,000 with 14% takeout highlights the harness racing card tonight at the “Home of the Flying Turns”, Northfield Park. The bet has a $1 base and starts in Race 6. Here are my selections and multi-race tickets for the entire 15-race card:

BEST BET: PRINCE OF BALAIR – Race 11

SPOT PLAY: REFORMED RENEGADE – Race 6

$1 Pick 4 – Race 2 – 1,3/1,5/3,4/2,5,7,8,9 = $40

$1 Pick 5 – Race 6 – 1,4/5/1,2,3,4,5/1,3/1,2 9 = $60

$1 Pick 4 – Race 11 – 1/2,3,4,8/1,7/1,3,5,7 = $32

Race 1 – 2-3-1-4

(2) MO POWER BABY raced tough in defeat last week and she finally draws well here. A Mac should send her down the road at a short price. .

Race 2 – 3-1-4-5

In a field of debutant rookie pacers, (3) BORN TO DANCE looks good to complete the Daily Double for The Stable.

Race 3 – 1-6-7-3

(1) U GOTTA BELEAF gets out of the second tier and draws best and he has a good chance to resume his winning ways here.

Race 4 – 3-4-2-5

(3) REPEAL OR REPLACE figures to get a much better trip and he has a big shot here on the class drop.

Race 5 – 2-8-5-7

Wide-open race here. I’ll take a stab with (2) GONE GLOBAL who can improve this time after getting a clean line in her last start at Scioto Downs.

Race 6 – 4-1-5-7

We kick off the Pick 5 here and there is a $7K carryover, a 14% takeout, and a $50,000 estimated pool. (4) REFORMED RENEGADE raced better last week, now he drops and gets Merriman in the bike. He has a good chance to win the opening leg of the Pick 5.

Race 7 – 5-4-2-1

(5) MAGIC JOE LINDY will be mighty tough here if he repeats the mile he paced in his June 8^th qualifier

Race 8 – 4-3-5-1

(4) GLOBAL CYCLONE shoots for three straight wins but he steps up in class tonight. This race is where I will spread in the Pick 5.

Race 9 – 1-3-2-4

(1) QUALITY CLOSER drops, draws the rail and gets Merriman. He is the obvious one to beat here.

Race 10 – 9-2-1-3

(9) BAD BOY JESSE improved with Lasix and he could add some value to the Pick 5 as a 20 to 1 shot in the morning line.

Race 11- 1-5-9-2

(1) PRINCE OF BALAIR should prove tough to beat as chalk starting from the rail and he will be a Pick 4 single for me.

Race 12 – 8-2-3-4

(8) REICHERS CAVIAR drops from non-winners of three and drawing widest will help his price; top call.

Race 13 – 7-1-2-3-4

(7) TAGLINE is on a roll and he should offer a good price starting from a wide post. Call to repeat.

Race 14 – 5-7-3-1

Italian shipper (5) DIAMANTE TRIO IT attracts Merriman for this local debut and that’s enough for me to take a stab with her at a price.

Race 15 – 6-5-7-3

Class dropper (6) MIDNIGHT MATT has a big shot to lead these all the way here and he would be great value if he closed anywhere close to his 6 to 1 morning line quote.
