CHESTER, PA – The 2021 Harness Horse of the Year Test Of Faith returns to the racetrack to begin her 2022 harness racing campaign in a qualifying race at Harrah’s Philadelphia on Tuesday morning.
The now-four-year-old daughter of Art Major – Cannae Cammie won 14 of 16 starts in 2021, finishing second in the other two, and won $1,069,739 against one of the more talented group of sophomore pacing fillies in recent years. She took her mark of 1:48.3 at Lexington, and won her division’s Breeders Crown for owners Melvin Segal, Kentuckiana Racing Stable, and Eddie Gran.
Trainer Brett Pelling will have David Miller in the sulky behind the champion miss as they start from post three in the ninth and final qualifier of the day.
The qualifiers begin at 9:30 a.m., and trainer Pelling will be loaded for bear, also qualifying the $1.6M-winning quality trotting mare When Doves Cry in race two and Treacherous Dragon, second in both the Kindergarten and Three Diamonds at the end of her freshman campaign last year, in race four. All three will be making their first trips behind the gate in 2022.
The qualifiers will not be available live over the Internet, but are scheduled to be posted within a day at the Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s site of www.phha.org, in the “Qualifers” section.
