Harness News Update: Picks and analysis for Running Aces May 21

The 2024 harness racing season at Running Aces began over the weekend and will continue on Tuesday (May 21) night. The Place Pick All starts in the first race and will run through all eight. There is also a Jackpot Pick 5 wager beginning in the fourth race.

The eighth race features Open class pacers and will go for $15,500. A very tough field of nine pacers who are coming from all over to meet at Running Ace’s. The 3-1 morning line favourite, American Dreamer (American Ideal) is coming from Oak Grove. He has yet to win this year in six starts, but he has finished second place on two occasions. His last win came last year at Running Aces where he won in 1:49.2. Timothy Wilson trains the 10-year-old gelding and Todd Warren will be in the bike.

AMERICAN IDEAL REPLAY

At 4-1, A Major Omen (He’s Watching) is coming from Fraser Downs and won his final start in the Preferred Pace. He won in 1:51.1 which stands as his lifetime mark. It was his only win of the year but his 16th of his career. Jeffrey Hunt will be in the bike for trainer Richard Lancaster.
