Harness News Update: Picks and analysis for Yonkers Raceway April 29

Nine harness races on the program Monday (Apr. 29) night at Yonkers Raceway. A $1 Pick 5 wager is available starting in the fifth race and runs through to the ninth. The feature event is the $35,000 Invitational Pace in the sixth race.

A field of seven is set to do battle in what looks to be a tightly contested race. The 5-2 morning line favourite, Sumomentsomewhere A (Somebeachsomewhere) is coming off a second-place finish in the MGM Borgata consolation. He hasn’t been to the winner’s circle since Mar. 8 at the Meadowss. The seven-year-old gelding has been orchestrated a few good miles and has finished second place in three of his last five starts. Sumomentsomwhere A’s last win was in 1:50.4 which was good enough to be his lifetime mark. This week, he will have Yannick Gingras in the bike.

SUMOMENTSOMWHERE A REPLAY

The Jackie Greene-trained Moonshine Kisses (Sunshine Beach) is returning to Yonkers Raceway after making an appearance at Plainridge Park. The eight-year-old picked up his second win of the year in 1:49.3. He comes into this week at 4-1 morning line odds and will have George Brennan in the sulky.

MOONSHINE KISSES REPLAY

Captivate Hanover (Bettors Delight) has won three races in a row and five of his last six starts. He has shown he can win wire-to-wire or come from off the pace. His last win was in 1:52 and was his 23rd career win. The seven-year-old gelding is trained by Gilberto Garcia-Herrera and Austine Siegelman will have driving duties.
