It has been reported via Facebook that harness racing driver Eric Ledford has passed away late on Thursday. He was age 50.
Ledford, of Sabina, Ohio, last drove in a race was back in 2017.
During his career he competed in 35,834 races, winning 5,362 of those events. The horses he drove during his career earned more than $61 million.
Ledford’s biggest triumph as a driver was in 2002 when he won the Hambletonian Trot with Chip Chip Hooray.
