Pompano cancels after 4th due to heavy rain

Pompano Beach, FL, February 27, 2022 – Torrential rains forced Pompano Park to cancel the remainder of its Sunday harness racing program after the fourth race.

While the cancellation forced refunds on the track’s Pick-6-rules state that three legs must be contested-the Pick-5, with the first four legs contested, was paid with an “ALL” in the final leg.

Racing continues on Monday with the finals of the Italian-American Amateur Challenge, a Pick-6 carryover, a Super Hi-5 jackpot of $20,500 and a $15,000 Pick-4 guaranteed pool highlighted by an industry low 12% takeout.
