Wally Hennessey drove four harness racing winners at Tioga Downs on Monday (September 5).
Hennessey and Prairie Panther (Royel Millennium) captured the $15,000 Open Pace.
Machiatto A (Mike Simons) grabbed the early lead, but Prairie Panther zoomed right on by and led to the first quarter in :27.3.Ā Ā He used a :28.4 second quarter to be first to the half in :56.2.Ā Ā Scootnroll (Jeff Long) made a first-over move but stalled as they headed for the final turn.Ā Ā Prairie Fortune was first to three-quarters in 1:24.1.
As they reached the stretch Machiatto A pulled out of the pocket and went all out after Prairie Panther.Ā Ā Prairie Panther let out another notch and won easily in 1:51.4.Ā Ā Machiatto A had to settle for second.Ā Ā Luciano N (Brandon Parker) finished third.

Prairie Panther is an 8-year-old gelding owned by Joel Warner and trainer Mike Deters and paid $3.60 to win.Ā Ā It was his 12thĀ win this season.Ā Ā He now owns 59 career victories.
Hennessey got his other wins with Airy Shadow (Shadow Play, $11.40), Cowboy Cool (Western Terror, $2.60), and Harry Terror (Western Terror, $3.50).Ā Ā Jim McDonald had a training double on the day.
