Hey Livvy annihilated her rivals in the $42,000 Open Trot at Yonkers Raceway on Friday and remained unbeaten in 2021 in the process.
She got away fifth from post seven in line to Jordan Stratton and moved first-up after they hit the quarter mile marker in :28. Hey Livvy made up almost seven lengths in a quarter as she roared to the front and took point just past the half in :57.2.
Strattonās job was finished once Hey Livvy cleared to the front, as she left her seven opponents behind with ease. She hit three-quarters in 1:24.4, got an extra cushion as The Last Chapter (Joe Bongiorno) broke stride from the pocket, and motored away to an eight-length 1:52.4 romp.
Magical Journey (Daniel Dube) and Meladyās Monet (Tyler Buter) finished second and third, respectively. Three of the eight-horse field galloped in the contest. The winner paid $5.10.

Hey Livvy, a mainstay at the Mohawk Park Preferred level and Armbro Flight champion in 2020, shipped to Yonkers in May during the shutdown of racing in Ontario. The six-year-old Donato Hanover mare is two-for-two in Hilltop opens so far in 2021. She has now won 23 races in 64 career starts and boasts a bankroll of more than $470,000. Jeffrey Gillis conditions for Blue Chip Bloodstock Inc. of Wallkill, Ellen Ott of Buffalo, and Trevor Henry of Arthur.
Jason Bartlett was the dayās top driver with a trio of victories. George Brennanās one win puts him just six away from becoming the 11th North American reinsman to hit 11,000 victories.
Yonkers Raceway will take the weekend off as usual and return on Monday, Jun. 21 with 12 races on the card, including another $42,000 Open. First post will be 7:15 p.m. EDT.
