Hiteman charged with cruelty to an animal

Harness racing trainer Dale Hiteman “has been charged with one count of cruelty to an animal after a video surfaced online appearing to show him striking a horse multiple times at a Madison County park,” according to FOX59 WXIN-TV in Indianapolis.

According to the story, “The Madison County Prosecutor’s Office announced Tuesday night that Dale Hiteman, 69, has been charged with a class A misdemeanor for allegedly striking a 2-year-old horse, named Princes Laa, inside a stall on June 1 at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing and Casino in Madison County.”
