Harness Analyst – Breeders Crown eliminations Friday

Harness racing takes centre stage in Indiana tonight (Oct. 20) at Harrah’s Hoosier Park as we get the eliminations for the two-year-old Breeders Crown Trot races. There are also several divisions of the Circuit City.

As is typical at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, there are some great wagering opportunities highlighted by several multi-race betting opportunities.

Best Bet – MULL OF KINTYRE – Race 3

Spot Play – PONDA BEACH – Race 10

Race 1 – 1-6-3-7

(1) ODDS ON ALPHA MALE should work out a good trip racing near the front here starting from the rail and he is the one to beat in the opening leg of the Pick 5.

Race 2 – 3-1-2-4

(3) MULL OF KINTYRE is unbeaten in three starts since being claimed by leading trainer George and he should be tough to beat at a short price here as he shoots for the fourpeat.

Race 3 – Breeders Crown Elimination 2YO Filly Pacers – Top 5 advance to the Final

2-4-1-5

(2) PASS LINE couldn’t be any sharper coming into this Breeders Crown elimination and Gingras is a perfect partner for the Ontario Sires Stakes champ who will likely look to lead all the way tonight.

Race 4 – Breeders Crown Elimination 3YO Filly Trotters – Top 5 advance to the Final

7-4-2-5

(7) SPECIAL WAY is best in this division when she is right, and I’ll roll with her here in a spot where most bettors will likely abandon ship.

Race 5 – Breeders Crown Elimination 2YO Filly Pacers – Top 3 advance to the Final

2-5-1-3

Undefeated (2) GEOCENTRIC shows no signs of slowing down and she should take her ninth win from as many starts as the big chalk here.

Race 6 – Breeders Crown Elimination 3YO Filly Trotters – Top 5 advance to the Final

2-5-3-1

(2) BOND had no shot in the Kentucky Fillies Futurity with the trip she got after leaving from a wide post. She should get back on track here at a short price.

Race 7 – 8-1-9-2

(8) POCKET OF TERROR A shoots for a threepeat in another spot where he should be able to control the pace from the outset; top call.

Race 8 – Breeders Crown Elimination 3YO pacing fillies – Top 5 advance to the Final

5-1-2-4

(5) TWIN B JOE FRESH figures to lead the way at an extremely short price in a Crown elimination where only one of the six fillies misses the final.

Race 9 – Breeders Crown Elimination 3YO pacing fillies – Top 5 advance to the Final

3-5-6-4

(3) SYLVIA HANOVER should convert here, setting up another showdown with rival Twin B Joe Fresh in next week’s final.

Race 10 – 8-9-2-3

(8) PONDA BEACH comes in off three straight solid miles and he picks up Miller tonight. He can offer some value here if he closes somewhere close to his 9 to 2 morning line quote.

Race 11 – Breeders Crown Elimination 2YO pacing colts and geldings – Top 3 advance to the Final

(5) NEWSROOM has been beaten only once and he figures to control the pace here on route to the Final.

Race 12 – Breeders Crown Elimination 2YO pacing colts and geldings – Top 3 advance to the Final

(2) MARTZ TELLY got a tough trip in the ISS Super Final racing in the slop, and he figures to get a much better trip tonight starting from an inside post. I’ll take a price swing with him.

Race 13 – Breeders Crown Elimination 2YO pacing colts and geldings – Top 3 advance to the Final

(4) CAPTAIN ALBANO is getting hot at the right time, and he gets a slight nod as he seeks a sixth straight win.

Race 14 – 5-3-2-1

(5) GERARDO was 0 for 19 to start the year and has since won 4 of 5 for leading trainer George. He should be tough to beat in here.

Race 15 – 3-1-8-9

(3) ROCKY GROUND ships in from Ohio in good form and picks up driver De Long, who has been hot recently. I’ll take a price swing with him in the finale.
