Horseplay at the Big M starts May 3

East Rutherford, NJ – Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment is bringing back fan-favorite harness racing promotion Horseplay and giving away a brand new 2024 Toyota Camry.  Horseplay will run Friday, May 3^rd through Friday, August 2^nd.

Once again Horseplay is sponsored by Wanda Polisseni’s Purple Haze Stable.

Racetrack guests can enter to win every live race night by picking up a free horse to toss at the Horseplay Promo Car at the Players Club desk or the Horseplay table in front of the Winner’s Circle.

Participants attempt to throw their numbered horse into the window of a moving car. A winner, randomly chosen from all the horses that make it into the car, will receive a $100 betting voucher. The twenty-seven winners will be entered into the Horseplay Final Drawing on Friday, August 2^nd and have a chance to win the 2024 Camry through a reverse drawing.

For every horse that makes it into the Horseplay car during the season, Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment donates $5 to the designated monthly charity and $5 to Purple Haze Standardbred Adoption Program.

The May donation recipient is Special Strides, non-profit organization devoted to improving the lives of individuals with special needs. With a unique combination of therapy, horses, and the natural environment, individuals achieve goals appropriate for therapy, recreation, and education. Special Strides provides all individuals an opportunity to “Improve their lives… one stride at a time” regardless of financial status.

For the Love of Standardbreds is the June Horseplay recipient and facilitates the placement of Standardbred ex-racehorses in second careers by increasing demand for them in equestrian sports, and assisting the farms, trainers, and organizations that desire to transition them to an alternative lifestyle.

Creature Comfort Pet Therapy is the July/August charity recipient who provides caring volunteers dedicated to sharing their pet’s love by engaging people in a variety of community settings.
