Monticello, NY— Hypnoticdream (Hypnotic Blue Chip) captured the harness racing victory in the $7,200 Open pace at Monticello Raceway on Tuesday (Sept. 19).
Chantepleure (Jim Devaux) took the early lead out of the gate. Daamericansky (Justin Huckabone) came to challenge the leader from the far outside. Beebeetee (Brandon Parker) was on the inside in third as they passed the quarter mile in :26.4.
As they came by the stands for the first time, Daamericansky was leading the way by two lengths over Chantepleure. Jm’s Delight (Gregory Merton) started to battle Beebeetee for third as they passed the half mile in :55.3.
Daamericansky still had the lead over pocket-tripper Chantepleure. Jm’s Delight passed Beebeetee to take third as Mcgwire Sowers and Hypnoticdream made their way to the front. They passed the three-quarter mile mark in 1:24.3.
Coming down the stretch, Hypnoticdream won the battle and took the lead from the far outside, crossing the wire in 1:54. Jm’s Delight finished in second and Trevor’s Ace (Kyle Dibenedetto) came in third.

Hypnoticdream is a 6-year-old gelding owned by Mo Coo Inc and trained by Anthony Urbanowicz. He paid $13.80 to win.
