Ideal Jimmy (Jody Jamieson) and Lightfootedlegend (Renaldo Morales III) take the harness racing co-features at Tioga Downs on Sunday (June 6).
Ideal Jimmy ($3.40) cruises to an easy in the $10,000 Open Pace.
Ideal Jimmy jumped out of the gate and went straight for the lead and led to the first quarter in :27.1.Ā Ā He used a :28.2 second quarter to hit the half in :55.3, Chatelroll (Frank Affrunti) came first-up to challenge Ideal Jimmy all the way down the backstretch.Ā Ā Ideal Jimmy shook off the challenge and led to three-quarters in 1:22.1.Ā Ā As they made the turn for home Ideal Jimmy found another gear and won easily in a lifetime best of 1:49.4.Ā Ā Prairie Panther (Wally Hennessey) came charging late to finish second.Ā Ā Waimac Attack N (Mike Merton) was third best.
IDEAL JIMMY REPLAY
Ideal Jimmy is an 8-year-old gelding by Western Ideal.Ā Ā He is owned by D R Van WItzenburg and trained by Erv Miller.Ā Ā It was his fifth win of the season and 30thĀ of his career.
Lightfootedlegend goes from last-to-first to capture the $10,000 Open Trot.
Golden Kronos (John MacDonald) took the early lead but Burn Notice (Wally Hennessey) took control just before hitting the first quarter first in :28.0.Ā Ā He hit the half in :57.0.Ā Ā Joey Pro (Jody Jamieson) came first-over to challenge down the backstretch.Ā Ā Burn Notice continued to lead to three-quarter in 1:25.1.
Lightfootedlegend found himself sixth at three-quarters.Ā Ā He then came flying down the stretch like he was shot out of the cannon and passed them all to win in 1:54.1.Ā Ā Burn Notice had to settle for second with Golden Kronos getting third money.

Lightfootedlegend is a 6-year-old gelding by Mr Cantab.Ā Ā He is owned by David Linker and trained by Dale Gilmour.Ā Ā It was his fourth win of the season and 14thĀ career victory.
Jody Jamieson and Wally Hennessey each drove three winners on the card.Ā Ā Jamieson got his other wins with Gibbs ($4.20), and Montalbano Bi ($8.00).Ā Ā Hennesey won with Mach West ($2.30), I Got the Looks ($3.30), and Windmere Ryan ($5.30).
