WASHINGTON, PA, July 13 2023 — Imelda Hanover (Sweet Lou-Ideal Newton) overtook the tiring leader in deep stretch and went on to collect her third straight harness racing win in Thursday’s feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,000 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.

Calliope Hanover seized the point with a backside burst and opened a seemingly safe lead. But when Imelda Hanover, who had been gaining ground steadily for Dan Charlino after getting away seventh, saw Calliope Hanover weakening, she pounced on the opportunity and defeated Calliope Hanover by 1/2 length in 1:52.4. Bettorbytheseaside completed the ticket.
