Cream Ridge, NJ – 3/3/2022 – The harness racing trotters and pacers the Standardbred Retirement Foundation, (SRF) and those helping with homes and donations have made some progress since yesterday.
Generous gifts of $15,000, $5,000, and $3,000 have been received as challenge matches. When matched, this is the amount that will bring every one of these magnificent animals to safety just like Cha Ching Ba Bing, age 25.
SRF is immensely grateful for the help coming for these horses, but this is not over yet. No one wants to let any ship to such a horrific end. Thirty-one homes are also still needed. If this number does not reduce, it is imperative to receive this entire match of tax-deductible donations as SRF will be their only option to safety.
Nearly half of the donations SRF is pleading for will provide for basic needs for just one month, quarantine and immediate care. SRF is extending itself. It takes far more time to rehabilitate and retrain those sound enough and age appropriate to take on the saddle, then time is needed to find them a home. Their deadline to ship for slaughter is tomorrow evening, Friday, March 4th.
This information on each horse, whether they have a home offer, and donations is noted in the link below. Here is the link to the live information of each horse and photos of most. www.adoptahorse.org/.Ā This is automatically updated as help is offered.
