In The Spotlight N led to the quarter in :27.2. He went :29.1 in the second split to be first to the half in :56.3. Naked Truth (Kyle Swift) came first-up to challenge going down the backstretch. In The Spotlight N remained on top and led to three-quarters in 1:25.2.

As they made the turn for home In The Spotlight N shook off Naked Truth. Second place finisher So Diva (Jim Taggert Jr.) popped the pocket and came all out after the leader. In The Spotlight N was too strong and won easily in 1:53.0. Premier Star (Aaron Byron) finished third.

In The Spotlight N is a 6-year mare owned by Pollack Racing and trained by Jeff Cullipher. It was her third win this season. She now has 18 career victories.

Aaron Byron had a driving grand slam. He was first with Beachin (Bring On The Beach), Spittin Chicklets (Sportswriter), Abitofbettors Buns (Bit Of A Legend N), and Prairie Magical (Royel Millennium).
