WASHINGTON, PA, April 13, 2023 — Inside Express (Trixton-Jessie’s Song) had to battle four wide before reaching the top, but it didn’t bother her a bit as she rolled to her fourth straight harness racing victory in Thursday’s opening leg of the Margaret Provost Memorial at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows. Sweet On Her (Donato Hanover-Sweetsixteenkarats) took the other $12,800 division in the series for 3-year-old filly trotters.
Once Inside Express reached the point, Brady Brown threw on the brakes and gave her a comfortable 59.3 front half. That was all she needed, drawing off late to defeat the pocket-sitting Show Me Da Moni by 4-1/2 lengths in 1:57.1. Nick N A Promise earned show.
INSIDE EXPRESS REPLAY
Rick Beinhauer trains Inside Express and owns and bred the filly with Regina Beinhauer.
Sweet On Her appeared to be up against it, having to face Angelpedia, who reached the Pennsylvania Sires Stakes championship last year and was beginning her sophomore campaign off two sharp qualifiers. But Sweet On Her and trainer/driver Wilbur Yoder weren’t at all hesitant, confidently pulling the pocket on Angelpedia before the three-quarters and downing her by 1/2 length in 1:57.1 after a protracted duel. Dontforgettoboogie completed the ticket.
Bob Troyer campaigns Sweet On Her.
SWEET ON HER REPLAY
