Cranbury, NJ — It’s My Show, who won his Delvin Miller Adios elimination with a world-record 1:47.4 harness racing performance at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows this past Saturday, returned to the No. 1 spot in the Week 7 Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll released Tuesday and was joined by two newcomers in the Top 10.
Previously, It’s My Show topped the rankings in weeks one through four. He received 17 of 35 first place votes this week and totaled 319 points.
Confederate and Sylvia Hanover, who were idle, each dropped one position. The top-three horses were separated by 24 points. Only once in the previous five years was the margin narrower — 15 points in Week 5 of 2022 when Joviality S, Bulldog Hanover and Jimmy Freight were the top trio.
Joining the Top 10 were Spirit of Massachusetts winner It’s Academic at No. 8 and Clara Barton winner Mikala at 10.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
