Itsrockandroll A jives in Dover Open

Itsrockandroll A (A Rocknroll Dance) utilized the passing lane and won the harness racing Blue Hen Open Handicap Pace at Bally’s Dover on Thursday night.

Early speed at the start of the race was provided by both Itsrockandroll A and Adam Twelve.  Captaincountrystar also left but was able to drop down to the pylons into 3rd.  Adam Twelve took control of the race track and led the field through an opening quarter in a blistering 26.1.  The field remained in single file, which allowed Adam Twelve to back off the half in 55.3, a pedestrian 29.2 quarter.

Betting favorite Captaincountrystar, chased 1st over down the backstretch.  Wager On Me followed cover 2nd over.  Wehadababyetzaboy was within range from the back of the pack.  Itsrockandroll A was gearing up to strike from the pocket. Adam Twelve and Captaincountrystar raced side by side at the three quarters in 1:24 (28.2) Itsrockandroll A saved ground along the pylons in the stretch and surged late to win by a measured length in 1:52.3.  He paid $7.60 for the victory.

Whehadababyetzaboy closed late and finished 2nd.  Adam Twelve was 3rd.
