Harness racing driver Jason Bartlett has had 13 wins over the last two nights at MGM Yonkers Raceway – seven on Monday night (June 26) and six on Tuesday night (June 27) – and the last of those triumphs on Tuesday’s program made him just the 20th North American driver to have 10,000 career victories.
Bartlett’s first five trips to the winner’s circle on Tuesday came courtesy of Fugleman [1:55], Miki Rose [1:54], Blank Stare [1:51.3], Simon Says Hanover [2:22.1 in the $30,000 Can You Go the Distance Series final at a mile and a quarter] and Groovy Joe [1:52.3].
After missing out by just three-quarters of a length with Lous The Attitude in his first chance at the milestone in race nine, Bartlett was able to seal the deal with 7-year-old Bettor’s Delight gelding The Regulator [1:53.1] in the nightcap.
Not only is Bartlett in select company with 10,000 career driving victories, his horses have also earned over $142.5 million, placing him 12th all-time. He’s also at his usual spot atop the drivers’ standings at MGM Yonkers Raceway with 237 tallies.
