The sharp Jebswesternshark stepped up after three consecutive wins in claiming races, closed from seventh at the half to pass all rivals for a fourth straight win in last Thursday's feature race. George Dennis drove the winner for owner Frank Chick. Trace Tetrick will drive Mary Ann Larrimore's Believe This Bob, who finished second in front of Eddie and Kathy Davis' Nova Artist piloted by Allan Davis.
The fast Bandolito, owned, trained and driven by Daryl Bier, leaves from the rail. Janet Hudson's Just A Jolt, makes his second start in a month. Max Walton and Greg Papaleo extremely sharp Mustang Art and Ron Pierce starts from post 9 in the second tier. Not to be overlooked, Reg Hazzard and Legacy Racing's Papa Ray with Eddie Davis Jr., Kovach Stables' Feel Like A Fool, will have meet leading driver Corey Callahan and upset minded Sunshine Superman, owned, trained and driven by Toby Lynch complete a highly qualified field.
Two winners last time, Mike Casalino and Dylan Davis's Four Staces (Callahan) and Jerry Clark's Workandplayhard (Davis Jr.) head the $16,000 4&5-Year-Old Open/Handicap.
In another sub-feature, a 4&5-Year-Old $15,500 Open/ Handicap led by Howard Taylor's Delaware Hanover (Callahan), Karen Walls' Elite Awards (Davis Jr.) and Tom Lazzaro's Contraband Hanover (Pierce).
